Jamie Shine: A Shining Star in the Australian Women's Golf Network

As an accomplished professional and dedicated golfer, Jamie embodies the spirit of AWGN, making her the perfect fit for this role. Let's take a moment to learn more about her personal journey in golf, her new business venture, and the goals she hopes to achieve as an AWGN Ambassador.

Jamie's love for golf began at an early age when her father introduced her to the sport, paving the way for countless hours of fun with her family and friends at the picturesque Toowoomba Golf Club. However, her flourishing legal career and dedication to raising a family led her to temporarily put her passion for golf on hold.

In her quest to return to golf and expand her professional networks, Jamie came across an article featuring AWGN and was captivated by the organisation's vision. She saw an opportunity to achieve both her goals – reconnecting with golf while fostering connections with like-minded professional women. Since reaching out to AWGN co-founder Jessica Eden, Jamie has been an active participant in the organisation's events and a strong advocate for the benefits it offers women. Now, as an AWGN Ambassador, she aims to create awareness about the organisation in Queensland and bring more women together through golf, while supporting their business and networking pursuits. Her ultimate goal is to make Queensland the largest and most thriving arm of AWGN.

Jamie's passion for women's empowerment and golf extends to her new business venture, The Law & Health Collective, which goes beyond the typical personal injury law firm experience. Her firm focuses on early access to rehabilitation, actively listening to client's needs, and collaborating with health providers to deliver exceptional injury law services. This holistic approach aligns perfectly with AWGN's mission to promote health, connection, and better outcomes for its members.

When asked about her involvement with AWGN and its impact on her life, Jamie shared that each event leaves her feeling positive, engaged, and inspired. As a returning golfer, she has found that AWGN has helped her refine her skills, build confidence, and foster meaningful connections with other women on similar journeys. She recounts her experience at a recent AWGN event, saying, "I attended part 1 of a trilogy series by AWGN at Victoria Park Golf Complex. I had the opportunity to learn from the brilliant coach Darren, who provided invaluable insights into my swing and easy ways to improve it. I couldn't have left the session feeling more engaged, positive, and happy about my experience. Plus, I was able to catch up with a new AWGN connection, Samantha Robertson, as we enjoyed the experience together. Each event seems to build on my previous experience, and I always leave loving the organisation, my new friends, and the sport even more."

Jamie's enthusiasm for golf, dedication to uplifting other women, and commitment to growing AWGN in Queensland make her an invaluable addition to our team. We do not doubt that her passion and leadership will inspire countless women to join the AWGN community, where they can grow both personally and professionally while enjoying the great game of golf.
