#30days Home Organisation Challenge

DAY 5: Kitchens are the heart of the home. They are where we cook our meals, laugh with friends, and share stories. You’re almost a week into the #30days challenge and a lot of it has been spent in the kitchen… hopefully you are now excited to see that small changes can make a huge difference.

JOURNAL:

What are three things that you can do regularly to stay organised and clean?

Research and make a wishlist of new appliances and cutlery for your dream kitchen.

TASK:

Neaten up your utensil drawer.

A few simple steps to organise your kitchen drawers!

1: Remove all items from your kitchen drawers and wipe each drawer clean.

2: Group like items together – cutlery, gadgets, tea towels etc.

3: Toss broken items or any that you’ve not used in the last 12 months.

4: Create order by assessing your current drawer storage solutions, implementing new systems where needed, and by avoiding overcrowding your drawers.

TIP: Try to avoid having a junk drawer. Whilst you may think it is convenient to add your ‘miscellaneous stuff’ to a drawer, it can quickly become a disaster zone. Remove all non-kitchen items from the kitchen and create a home for them elsewhere.

Cleaning and organising is a practice not a project.
