DAY 14: Let’s talk about tupperware and storage containers… ah! It may well be a mess. When you finally get around to going through your pile, you probably house mismatched lids and several stained containers. Read on for a few great tips and products on how to finally get your stash under control!

JOURNAL:

Consider how you would live in your space if there was less clutter.

How you would feel? Would you miss any of it? Why living with less might be better than living with more.

TASK:

Tackle Your Storage Containers

Let’s sort out that stash of Tupperware!

1. Think about how much you need and sort what you have. Match the lids to every container. Once you complete the puzzle, we recommend tossing the extras.

2. Throw out containers that are old, stained or broken. Did you know that plastic containers are porous and over time collect bacteria and germs? Do you have a container that’s been in your kitchen longer than you can remember? Is it permanently stained with pasta sauce? Toss it!

3. Organise what you keep. Stack the remaining containers that match the lids.

4. Invest in a new set. If you find yourself tossing a lot of old food containers, get new ones! They’re usually not expensive, and they typically come in sets that fit inside each other and keep you organised. We prefer glass containers with lids. They are microwave oven and dishwasher safe.

Being Organized Isn’t About Getting Rid Of Everything You Own Or Trying To Become A Different Person. It’s About Living The Way You Want To Live – But Better…
